Early Years

EARLY Learning

In the Early Years at Assisi Catholic College each child's unique spiritual, cognitive, physical, social and emotional needs are developed. We want to instil a love of learning in each child, fostering creativity, imagination, curiosity, confidence, enthusiasm, a growth mindset and skills that can be transferred in the real-world.

We build on prior experiences to develop a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy.  Promoting learning through meaningful contexts that include investigations, play, explicit teaching, and establishing routines and transitions.

In learning and play our Habits and Values guide our behaviours. We foster Being Prepared, Being Persistent, Being Your Own Person, Being Respectful, Being Responsible. With supportive, dedicated and caring staff, our students are encouraged to be the best they can be- to shape their tomorrow.

Pivotal to our Franciscan values is relationships and family. Our students strive to shape and enrich our changing world, by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Assisi Catholic College early year precincts model how we can love all creation.
